Bio
Dr. Brais is an Associate Teaching Professor and Faculty Advisor in the Communication Studies Department. Dr. Brais has been teaching undergraduate courses in the department since 2012 and has taught courses that include Communication Research Methods, Public Speaking, Business Communications, Small Group Communication, and Intro. to Communication Theory. She has also taught courses external to the department including First-Year Seminar and LEADS Colloquium. In 2017, she became the SUCCESS Learning Community Coordinator and a LEADS Program Faculty Fellow in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. She has served on a number of committees and programs, most notably as a TOP Teacher for the Teachers Observing Peers Program, a member of the Provost’s Student Success Working Group, and a participant in the Student Experience Project.
